More than 200 million believers around the world are suffering as a result of their faith. Many believers are cut off from their immediate and extended families, their homes and businesses targeted for damage, and many are put into prison and are subject to torture and even execution. Reliable sources tell us that most persecuted Christians ask for prayers to remain strong in their faith as well as prayers to remain in their homes in safety.
There is also a request for bibles. As you pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ, investigate organizations who work diligently to provide support: Google “persecuted church”, or visit the Voice of the Martyrs website. Consider reading Ephesians chapter 3, written by Paul who was imprisoned at the time for his faith. Consider his insight and experience as you pray for those in our church family who face daily persecution.
